East Valley's Drama and Performing Arts

Our Drama department is more than a space for performances; it’s a dynamic and nurturing environment where students cultivate essential life skills and explore the transformative power of theatre.

We offer three specialized classes focusing on key elements of a musical:

These classes are designed to give students hands-on experience in various aspects of theatre production while fostering creativity and skill development.

Creativity

Creativity is at the heart of our program. Students are encouraged to explore their imaginations, take risks in performances and creative processes, and trust their instincts and think outside the box.

From interpreting scenes to designing costumes, students develop a sense of ownership and pride in their work, building self-confidence that extends beyond the stage.

Confidence

Performing builds self-assurance. Through diverse roles, students face fears and express themselves, develop the ability to speak up and embrace challenges, and gain comfort navigating both the spotlight and the shadows.

Collaboration

Theatre is a collective effort. Students learn to work together during rehearsals and performances, support peers in problem-solving and teamwork, and build skills that apply in school, the workplace, and beyond.
